Gamer, or Blizzophile?

You know, it occurs to me that ever since I purchased StarCraft, my relationship with pretty much any game not made by Blizzard has been dwindling away. Like most people, I go through gaming phases, but ever since I found Blizzard, those phases have pretty much involved switching between games like StarCraft, Diablo II, WarCraft III, Diablo II, WarCraft III, StarCraft, ad infinitum. Of course, then Blizzard released World of WarCraft and sealed the deal completely.

Since I started attending DigiPen, it has bugged me a little. I feel like I should be playing other games. Maybe that's the case. But I need to be honest with myself. I like Blizzard games. I don't need or want anything else. So I can either feel guilty while the Battlefield 2's and Zelda's of the world pass me up, or I can just acknowledge that I am a Blizzophile.

If you need further proof, check out this. It's a template for my Eldre'thalas paladin's talents. I spent about 30 minutes last night making these for all my characters. The system itself is very cool to muck around with, but the fact that I now have 10 templates for 10 characters stocked away...well, like I said. I'm a Blizzophile.

It's like a special kind of nerd.

I don't think it's an intentional limitation. It just happens, because the games are so fun and addicting. I've always had to force myself not to play Blizzard games.
